Romancoholic publishes practical relationship, dating and sex advice for women, and has done since 2017. We are open to pitches from writers who know their subject and can write about it plainly.

What we publish
Four sections: dating, relationships, sex and marriage — plus tested sex toy reviews. Read a few published guides before pitching; the tone is specific and easy to match once you have seen it.
Articles usually run 1,000–2,000 words. Shorter is fine when the subject is genuinely shorter. Length is never the point.
What we look for
A situation, then a resolution. The headlines that work here name something a reader is actually living through and promise a way to think about it. “He went quiet. Here is what is actually happening” rather than “communication in relationships.”
Plain language. No euphemism, no mind games, no manufactured urgency. Second person, talking to one reader as an equal — never as a guru, never as a girlfriend.
Specific over broad. Five reasons with a response for each beats twenty tips.
Honesty about uncertainty. If the research is thin or it depends, say so. We are interested in what works, not what sounds good.
Sex writing is direct but never explicit. It names things (“asking for what you want in bed without killing the mood”) without describing acts.
What we do not publish: listicles assembled from other listicles, anything that shames the reader, manifestation or mind-game framing, or AI-generated drafts.
What we pay
$35 per article, on acceptance, by PayPal or bank transfer — whichever suits you. You keep the byline, an author page listing everything you have written for us, and a link to your own site in your bio.
We are upfront about the rate so you can decide before you spend time on a pitch. If that works for you, we are straightforward to write for: we agree the angle before you draft, we edit for structure rather than rewriting your argument, and we do not sit on submissions.
How to pitch
Send three headlines, not a finished article. One line each. If one lands we will talk about the piece before you write it, which saves you the work of guessing.
Include two links to things you have written. They do not need to be published in this niche, or published at all — we care whether you can write, not where you have been printed.
You do not need to be an established writer. Some of our best-read pieces came from people writing about something they had lived through.

Do I need experience in this niche? No. A clear voice and genuine insight matter more than a relationship-writing portfolio.
Can I include a link to my own site? Yes, in your author bio. Every article carries a byline and links to an author page listing your work — see our writers for examples. We do not accept guest posts written to place a commercial link in the body.
Can I write under a pen name? Yes. Several of our writers do, given the subject matter.
How long should the piece be? 1,000–2,000 words is typical. Say what the subject needs and stop.
Will you edit my work? Yes, for structure and house style. Nothing changing your argument goes live without you seeing it.
